Less common, early work by recognized artist Ad. H. Van Emelen prior to his permanent relocation to Brazil. Nice composition of a Belgian Country Woman in an Agnes Sorel type bodice and a peaked bonnet that frames her expressive face. Well executed, in warm colors and is signed and framed. Has repairs as shown in pictures but shows nicely.
